This program will provide you with practical expertise and knowledge to effectively plan and execute laboratory and field work, conduct basic scientific calculations, proficiently communicate information, and meticulously document and store data. You will also foster essential interpersonal skills, grasp the principles of adhering to workplace health and safety (WHS) regulations, and ensure compliance with environmental guidelines. Our team of seasoned professionals, deeply entrenched in the industry, will offer personalized guidance to enhance your success.

Upon successfully finishing this course, you’ll be eligible for employment as a laboratory assistant in sectors like food technology, pathology, educational institutions, or various trades. Furthermore, it establishes a solid foundation of knowledge to support further studies in this field.

This qualification consists of thirteen (13) units of competency, of which there are five (5) core units and eight (8) electives.

Duration

Approximately 12 – 24 months

Competency based training has a flexible duration. Learners are provided theory content consisting of reading content, videos and formative assessment activities. Trainers then visit on-site to provide further practical training, issue the summative assessment, conduct practical observations and discuss your progress with your supervisor.

Fees

$5,175

Consists of $325 per unit of competency plus a $300 enrolment fee.
